about us: virtual tour

Welcome to our world! Enjoy first-rate performances in Lost Nation’s intimate, elegant, accessible chamber theater at the Montpelier City Hall Arts Center.

Comfortable seating embraces the stage on three sides.  A sixteen-inch rise between rows ensures perfect viewing from every seat — you can practically touch the stage — and our flexible space is transformed for each production.

Carpeting, a spacious lobby, and the historically accurate restoration of the City Hall interior create a setting that is dynamic and inviting. Our audiences tell us they love the exceptional quality and friendly intimacy of our theater.

On a “dark” day (when the theater was not having a performance that night) in February 2002, our Technical Director sought to capture the theater in all of its glory (and messiness). Please, enjoy this behind the scenes look at Vermont’s Capitol City Theater Company.

The Green Room

The green room for the theater has given up its full-size refrigerator for stage-use for True West. This is the place actors can go to relax and snack before a show.
