Summer Youth Theater Labs
Session 1:
Tuesday—Saturday, June 24-June 28; half-day sessions
Ages 8-11: 9am-Noon
Ages 12-15: 1:30-4:30pm
Session 2:
Tuesday-Saturday, July 15-July 19; half-day sessions
Ages 8-11: 9am-Noon
Ages 12-15: 1:30-4:30pm
No audition required. The one-week Youth Theater Lab features skill building workshops in voice, movement, improvisation, and other acting techniques scene-work, development of original work and more...
Led by a primary LNT instructor and supplemented with special classes with guest artists, Labs explore the participants’ own creativity. Each lab is tailored as much as possible to the chief interests of the participants. A sharing presentation for family and friends celebrates the completion of each session.
Cost is $150 for each one-week session.
Summer Youth Musical Theater Production Lab
Children’s Theater by and for Youth culminates in fully staged public performances of The Wind in the Willows, August 15-16
2 week session:
Tuesday-Saturdays, August 5-16
9am-3pm for ages 9-16.
No Audition necessary to get into the Production Lab. Auditions for specific show roles will be integrated into the workshop.
Develop acting, singing, movement and stage combat skills, & learn technical tasks through specialized classes and a professional rehearsal process culminating in 4 fully staged, public performances of The Wind in the Willows, on August 15 & 16.
Theater for Kids by Kids!
LNT Directors and Stage Managers lead the program with guest artist masterclasses.
Original music for the production will be written by artistic director Kathleen Keenan, and will range from folk to rap! To participate, students must attend all sessions and performances.
Cost is $400.
All Labs foster a supportive, professional environment.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to register for all Youth Theater Labs and/or Production Labs. No refunds after classes have started. (sliding scale refunds available up to 24 hours prior to the start of classes)
