Celebrating one of our greatest modern troubadours, one cut from the same cloth as his longtime friends Pete Seeger and Bruce Springsteen, and inspired by folk-hero Woody Guthrie. His classic hits include Taxi, Cat’s in the Cradle, 30,000 Pounds of Bananas and Circle.

Not just a supremely talented songwriter and consummate showman, Harry was a dedicated “put your money where your mouth is” activist and he performed “one concert for me, one concert for them,” raising millions of dollars to fight hunger and to benefit performing arts organizations, education, and social initiatives. Chapin’s life was cut short by a tragic auto accident in 1981.

Harry was posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal in a tribute ceremony at Carnegie Hall that featured Bruce Springsteen, Pat Benetar, Peter Paul & Mary, Graham Nash, Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, Paul Simon, and Vermont’s Senator Patrick Leahy.

Lost Nation Theater has assembled a cast of seven multi-talented actor/singer/musicians from across Vermont and the country to bring this fabulous show to life, supported by stunning lighting and scenic designs. The show is directed by Tim Tavcar, with musical direction by Andrew Moroz. The design team features the work of Jeffrey E Salzberg, Donna Stafford and Kim Bent.  Featured in the cast are: Megan Callahan, Christopher Colt, Kathleen Keenan, Asher Nicholson, and Maggie York.
